In 1995, when REVO was still an NPO, we started conducting research on the development of biodiesel fuel technology through the ester exchange reaction under the direction of Emeritus Professor Shimizu at Kyoto University (who is known as the inventor of C-FUEL) and KRI Co., Ltd. Since establishing a feasible manufacturing technique, with the assistance of highly knowledgeable engineers, REVO has been continuously working towards further developing our technology. Since 2009, we have operated the largest biodiesel fuel production plant in Japan, in accordance with the “Zero-Emissions Concept,” and have been providing C-FUEL in Japan and to EU nations.

In comparison with production techniques for biodiesel fuel produced in Europe, REVO`s accumulated know-how on converting varying qualities of used cooking oil into a single, high-quality biodiesel fuel has gained REVO high evaluations. At the request of Petroleum Authority of Thailand (PTT), REVO designed and in 2007 built a biodiesel fuel plant in Thailand designed to work with various types of feedstock, such as CJO (Jatropha oil), CPO (palm oil), and UCO (used cooking oil). In 2011, REVO`s fuel conversion process for UCO was highly evaluated among environmentally developed nations, and so REVO was able to start exporting their biodiesel product “C-FUEL” to the Netherlands.

The recycling rate for used cooling oil

Around 98.5% of collected UCO is converted into biodiesel fuel. REVO`s technology results in efficient UCO recycling with far less waste.

The in-plant recycling rate for the by-product glycerin

Glycerin, a by-product in the C-FUEL manufacturing process, is completely recycled on site as a fuel for on-site boiling equipment.
- The biodiesel fuel produced in our plant complies with JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards) stipulated on Feb. 20th, 2008 “automobile fuel – mixing FAME.”
* Due to REVO`s ability to oversee the entire process of collection and processing of UCO. - REVO is able to produce Biodiesel Fuel from various types of feedstock such as CJO (Jatropha oil), CPO (palm oil), UCO (used cooking oil), and other types of vegetable oil.
- REVO adopts a decompression method in order to reduce the oxidation of fuel at higher temperatures.
- Because of REVO`s specialized decompression method, there is no danger of inhaling vaporized methanol or being directly exposed to methanol during the manufacturing process. The process is so well designed and reliable that there is no need for a special engineer to be constantly present and overseeing the process (this is subject to local regulations, of course).
